Accessibility Statement

EstateSail's approach to building an accessible marketplace and how to report issues that get in your way.

Last updated: May 21, 2026

Our Commitment

EstateSail is committed to making the marketplace usable for everyone, including people with disabilities. We design and develop with accessibility in mind so shoppers can browse sales, place bids, complete checkout, and manage their account regardless of how they use the web.

Our goal is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. We do not claim full conformance — accessibility is an ongoing effort and we welcome feedback that helps us improve.

What We Do

Use semantic HTML and ARIA attributes so screen readers can announce structure, headings, buttons, and form fields correctly.

Maintain meaningful color contrast in both light and dark modes, and avoid conveying critical information by color alone.

Support keyboard navigation throughout the marketplace, including focus indicators on interactive elements.

Use descriptive alt text for product imagery where the seller has provided it. When alt text is missing or unhelpful, please email us so we can ask the seller to improve it.

Test against current versions of major screen readers and browsers and ship fixes for accessibility regressions as soon as we are aware of them.

Known Limitations

EstateSail relies on third-party providers for payments, mapping, analytics, and other services. Some of these third-party experiences may not be fully accessible. When you encounter one, please report it so we can work with the provider or route you to an accessible alternative.

Listings and seller-supplied content are submitted by independent sellers. We do our best to enforce accessibility standards across the platform, but seller-written descriptions, photos, or videos may occasionally fall short. Reporting these helps us coach sellers and improve the experience.

Reporting an Accessibility Issue

If you have trouble using any part of EstateSail, or want to request a specific accommodation, email support@estatesail.us with the subject line "Accessibility" and include the page URL, the device and assistive technology you are using, and a description of what is not working. We aim to respond within one business day.

If your concern is urgent — for example, you cannot complete a purchase or pickup — call attention to that in your email so we can route it to the right person quickly.

Continuous Improvement

Accessibility is a moving target. We periodically audit the marketplace, train our team, and adjust our development practices based on user feedback and new guidelines. This page is updated whenever we make a meaningful change to our accessibility approach.
