Description

This Nikko Discovery 1492 ceramic creamer and lidded sugar bowl set features classic blue transferware ship and map motifs on a white ground. Made by Nikko Company, Japan, the set is finely glazed porcelain with decorative banding on the lid and rim and a comfortable handled creamer spout. The creamer measures approximately 4.5 in tall x 4.5 in wide and the sugar bowl with lid measures roughly 4.5 in tall (with lid) x 4.5 in diameter; both are lightweight and easy to display in a dining room. Both pieces are in good condition with no visible chips or cracks; minor surface wear consistent with gentle use. A great addition for collectors of transferware or nautical-themed tableware, marked on the base "Discovery 1492" and "Nikko Company Japan."
