Description

Set of ten shell-shaped silverplate nut or bonbon dishes with a larger matching scalloped shell box. The pieces are molded in a classic shell motif with scalloped edges and high-relief ribs; finishes show mixed bright silverplate and areas of dark tarnish and verdigris on the larger box. Good estate condition overall with surface wear, heavy tarnish on the lid/outer surfaces and light surface scratches consistent with age and use. Handy for serving small bites or as decorative catchall dishes; the largest shell box nests the smaller dishes as shown.
