Description

Hand-decorated stoneware jar marked "BARNESVILLE OHIO" in blue lettering with painted foliate motifs and a blue-rimmed mouth. The interior has a dark glaze and the exterior shows traditional salt-glazed or alkaline-glazed pottery finish consistent with Ohio regional folkware. Appears structurally sound from photos with only light surface wear and minor glaze imperfections consistent with age and use. A useful decorative crocky jar for kitchen display or floral arrangements; see measurements for size.
