Description

Royal Doulton-style ceramic Toby jug depicting a smiling bearded sea captain with a mermaid handle and deep blue glaze base marked with raised letters reading 'OLD SALT'. The piece is molded and hand-painted with gloss glaze; interior shows typical firing speckling and light glaze deposits. Good overall condition with no obvious large chips or cracks visible in photos, though there is some paint wear and minor glaze fritting inside the spout. Measures compactly for display on a shelf or in a nautical collection.
