Description

Solid green and white marble chess set with an inlaid checkerboard and full complement of carved marble pieces. The board shows alternating green and white squares with a polished surface; pieces are classic Staunton-style forms in green and white stone. Several pieces show small chips (notably a white knight) and normal surface wear consistent with use; overall collectible decorative condition and fairly heavy due to all-stone construction. Board measures roughly table-top size and would make an attractive display or regular-play set.
