Description

A charming handpainted wooden Russian-style nesting doll pair featuring a taller female figure in blue with braided yarn hair and an elaborate lace-and-bead kokoshnik, plus a smaller domed topper painted blue and pink with star motifs. Both pieces are hand-decorated with fine painted details and gold highlights; the taller figure shows minor paint wear at the base and slight fraying to the yarn braid consistent with age. Lightweight and decorative, the set makes a colorful shelf accent or collectible folk art piece. Taller figure measures approximately 6 in high while the smaller domed piece is about 3.25 in high.
